Lunch & Learn Participant Ade Adesanya Raises Millions in Funding

Ade Adesanya, a 2018 participant in Plug In South LA’s Lunch & Learn series, has gone on to raise millions in investment funds for the company he co-founded, Moving Analytics.

Based in Los Angeles, Moving Analytics seeks to conquer heart disease as the leading cause of death through digital prevention programs that serve more than one million people annually. Adesanya co-founded the company with Harsh Vathsangam and Shuo Qiao in 2013.

The startup’s software, called Movn, is designed to help cardiac patients do rehabilitation remotely so they don’t have to drive to the hospital. Movn also allows cardiologists to monitor patients’ progress and keep them healthy. “We’re making cardiac rehab more convenient and more accessible for patients,” Adesanya explains on the Moving Analytics site.

When Adesanya joined Plug In South LA’s Lunch & Learn series, he had already worked to raise around $1.4 million in funding. After participating in the series, he went on to raise several million dollars more in venture capital. VC firm Harlem Capital Partners is one of their investors. You can find out more about Adesanya’s story in the Forbes video feature, “A Mission To Modernize Cardiac Rehab.”

“We help connect the dots for our founders to refine how they think about their business model, their needs for growth, and their fundraising strategy,” says Plug In South LA Founder Derek Smith. “We’re super excited about everything that Ade Adesanya is doing with Moving Analytics.”

This is just one example of why the Lunch & Learn sessions are important — and it shows how the series helps founders reach major milestones, Smith said. To learn more and get involved, send an email to info@pluginsouthla.com.
